The technology in question is Virus Protect - a special coating applied to the outer layer of the upholstery fabric, which we use when preparing furniture for our customers. This type of finish is most often used in dental disinfection or the production of toys for young children. Strong fabric is a collection with the said system. It is a high-quality knit made of polyester fibers, available in a dozen or so attractive colors. The material is pleasant and extremely soft to the touch, characterized by a melange structure. A thicker backing makes the fabric feel pleasant during use. Hydrophobicity and ease of cleaning is another advantage. Although the material resembles other washable collections, it is the only one that stands out with what you can't see - the Virus Protect coating.
HOW DOES VIRUS PROTECT WORK?
Virus Protect effectively protects the surface of the fabric against microorganisms. Active particles of the applied coating penetrate the DNA structure of viruses, fungi and bacteria, destroying them from the inside. In this way, we reduce the risk of infection, because it should be remembered that we have constant contact with the fabrics on the furniture. Microorganisms and dust mites hiding in them can cause allergies, sensitization or skin irritation. Contact with an infected surface has consequences in the form of viral and bacterial complications. By choosing a material produced in the Virus Protect technology, you care about the health of your family, because this coating reduces up to 99.9% of microorganisms on our furniture.
SAFETY AND DURABILITY OF THE COATING
Virus Protect is completely safe for human health and the environment. The material with this coating has been tested for the absence of harmful substances. You can be sure that Strong fabric does not contain heavy metals and silver, which is also confirmed by the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate. The World Health Organization (WHO), the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) or the United States Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA).
Strong is a material with hydrophobic and easy-cleaning properties. This means that the fabric reduces the absorption of spilled liquids, while preventing stains. In the event of dirt appearing, just water or a solution of water with detergent is enough to get rid of the problem. However, how do you maintain the material covered with Virus Protect? Will washing the fabric damage the coating? It should be remembered that the Virus Protect technology does not constitute hygienic protection of the furniture. In order to maintain the properties of the system as long as possible, the upholstery should be regularly vacuumed and maintained. Try to avoid the formation of persistent stains by periodically cleaning the material according to the instructions that we attach to the furniture purchased from us. Following the instructions for use of the material, the effectiveness of the coating will be maintained up to 30 cycles of wet washing (in a washing machine) and 5 cycles of dry washing (chemical cleaning).
